Making It Up As We Go Along - Call My Agent!

Want to run your own creative agency? Find out how with Dazed Club

For the next talk in our Making It Up As We Go Along series, we gain access to one of the industry’s most enticing spaces – a creative agency. Here’s how you can attend

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of a creative agency? Unlike other parts of the industry, it’s sometimes difficult to understand how agencies work, who they’re for and the different types of artists that they represent. That’s why, for our second Making It Up As We Go Along panel of 2023, we’ve teamed up with the creative collective New School to get you up to speed on what really happens inside a talent agency.

Dazed Club creative director Jack Sunnucks will be joined by New School founder Sam Ross, agents Yasmin Jeyarajah and Tommy Davies, plus producer Phoebe Shardlow to discuss their line of work, from representing the hottest talent in the industry, building a relationship with their creative roster and the high and lows of their journeys so far.

New School represents an array of talent across multiple disciplines, including renowned photographer Campbell Addy, set designer Ibby Njoya and stylist Mobolajo Dawodu. Also on the books are set designers Patience Harding and Tom Schneider, who are responsible for the covers of Harry Styles’ Grammy-winning album Harry’s House and SZA’s critically acclaimed album S.O.S. respectively. Dazed frequently enlists the help of New School talent – most recently our Winter 2022 issue which featured creative direction from Raw Materials.

So, if you’re ready to learn the tricks of the agency trade, come grab a ticket before they all disappear.

The event will be held on Thursday, February 16 at Dazed Space Studio, London; tickets are £8 via Eventbrite or free for Dazed Club Members. Register for Dazed Club here.
