The creative director and stylist whose work references everything from transhumanist philosophy to cyberpunk anime and videogames.
Luca Wowczyna

At just 21 years old, Luca Wowczyna has already built an impressive portfolio, having worked with the likes of Eartheater, Maisie Williams, Tohji, and Yeule. The London-based creative director and stylist is also one of the co-founders of rave collective Gutterring, finding inspiration among the city’s coolest circles and quickly gaining a reputation as the alt music scene’s go-to stylist.

Transporting their subjects into futuristic and fantastical worlds that push the limits of what’s real, Wowczyna’s shoots feel like mythical narratives made to escape the mundanity of the real-world. Often working with photographers such as fellow D100’er Reece Owen and Furman Ahmad, their work references everything from transhumanist philosophy to cyberpunk anime and videogames. Whether they’re championing up-and-coming designers in the underground scene, or unearthing secondhand gems from Japan, all Wowczyna’s images have a singular quality.

With cover stories for Bricks and Hunger already under their belt, Wowczyna might have only graduated from UAL less than six months ago, but they have hit the ground running.
