Dazed Club Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before signing up.

By taking out a Dazed Club membership, you (“Dazed Club Member”) confirm that you are over the age of 18 and accept and are bound by these Terms and Conditions.

What your membership entails

By joining as a Dazed Club Member, you will receive Dazed Club Benefits in exchange for your membership payments. 

Dazed Club reviews its benefits regularly and reserves the right to change or amend the benefits available to members at any time. The benefits that you are currently entitled to as a member are listed here. No refunds will be offered should Dazed Club change or withdraw any membership benefits.

Your membership benefits include virtual and IRL benefits. Our IRL events are currently taking place in London and the UK, but some benefits and events are also available to access digitally. You can still become a member and enjoy the virtual benefits if you do not live in the UK, but please note that Dazed Club cannot offer refunds to members who are not able to make it to IRL or virtual events during their membership, so please consider this before signing up.

You can opt in or opt out of the complimentary print magazine subscription for one year (4 issues posted as released) when you sign up. Complimentary print magazines can only be sent to UK addresses, but you can access the digital magazine archive from anywhere in the world.

E-communications

By signing up as a Dazed Club Member, you agree to us sending you digital communications related to your membership administration and benefits. It is your responsibility to ensure we have your up-to-date email address so that these communications can be delivered to you.

If you unsubscribe from our digital Dazed Club communications, we will not be able to keep you updated about your member benefits and members’ events or send you Dazed Club content emails that come with your membership. You will always be sent e-communications related to the administration of your membership (e.g. payment receipts) and it is not possible to unsubscribe from these communications since we need to be able to reach you to send you updates on your membership status and payments as well as the member benefits available to you as part of your membership in order for us to provide you with our services.

Digital and IRL events and tickets

All Dazed Club memberships are personal and you must not extend your membership or the benefits to anyone else but yourself, excluding events where ticket booking for guests is permitted. Your membership includes one member ticket per online or IRL event, unless stated otherwise. Please note that pre-booking to members’ events is essential since capacity is limited and tickets are always subject to availability.

At the moment IRL events are mainly happening at Dazed Space at 180 the Strand, London, and at other UK locations hosted by our partners. Dazed Club reserves the right to add new event locations at any point depending on demand. Members who are not able to attend events at certain locations will not be refunded or reimbursed.

If you are not able to attend an event you have booked a ticket for with your membership, please email us at club@dazedmedia.com to let us know at your earliest convenience so that we can free your space to others. 

Membership payments 

When you sign up for a Dazed Club membership online, your membership is active immediately and your 12-month membership period starts from that day. You will receive a payment receipt via email straight away after joining.

When you sign up for your membership, you are given the option to select either monthly auto-renewing payments, annually auto-renewing payments or one annual payment that will not auto-renew. It is important that you take note of the billing plan you signed up with since your payments will recur monthly or annually if you have chosen an auto-renewing membership subscription. It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of the payment plan you have selected. 

You will receive a further welcome email with details on how to access your member benefits. No refunds on membership payments will be issued if you do not take advantage of the membership benefits during your subscription period or if our e-communications do not reach you due to an incorrect email address being provided or your email service provider filtering our communications to your junk or other email folders.

Monthly payments

When signing up for Dazed Club via monthly auto-renewing payments, this constitutes a binding contract that Dazed Club will provide you with membership benefits and that you will fulfil 12 months’ worth of membership payments. If at any point your monthly payments should stop, it is your responsibility to ensure that an alternative payment method is provided until 12 months’ worth of membership payments have been collected. Your entitlement to the Dazed benefits will be subject to fees being collected successfully, and Dazed Club has the right to cancel your membership and benefits if any payments covering the first 12 months are cancelled or collected unsuccessfully.

After 12 months, your membership will continue on a rolling contract basis and can be cancelled at any point. Your enjoyment of the member benefits is subject to you continuing to pay your monthly membership payments. Once a payment fails or is cancelled, Dazed Club will terminate your membership after the paid billing period expiry date. If you should at any point want to cancel the membership you already paid for, Dazed Club can terminate your enjoyment of the member benefits but no refund will be issued. 

Annually auto-renewing payments

When signing up for Dazed Club by annually auto-renewing payments, this constitutes a contract that Dazed Club will provide you with benefits for the 12-month membership period. Your membership will stay active and will auto-renew on the anniversary of your first membership payment yearly, unless you cancel the subscription with Dazed Club or your bank. It is your responsibility to cancel this payment minimum 10 working days prior to the due date via your Dazed Account here. Dazed Club is not liable to issue refunds on memberships that were not cancelled or were not cancelled on time. If you should at any point want to cancel the membership you already paid for, Dazed Club can terminate your enjoyment of the  member benefits but no refund will be issued. 

Annual one-off payments

When signing up for Dazed Club by an annual one-off payment, this constitutes a contract that Dazed Club will provide you with benefits for the 12-month membership period. Your membership will lapse after the expiry date and will not be renewed unless you sign up for another year of membership. If you should at any point want to cancel your membership, Dazed Club can terminate your enjoyment of the member benefits but no refund will be issued. 

Data protection and privacy

When signing up to a Dazed Club membership, we will process your personal data. To find out more about how we process your personal data, please see our privacy policy.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the personal data you provide at the time of your sign-up is correct. If at any point during your membership you notice that your personal information has been incorrectly recorded, or if your details have changed, you can update them via your membership account here.

Member requirements

All Dazed Club Members must be aged 18 years or older, have the power to enter into a contract with us and not be prevented from doing so under any applicable laws.

Changes to Membership Pricing

Dazed Club membership payments include VAT.

Dazed Club reviews its pricing regularly. The pricing of your membership may be changed at any time, but you will be given minimum 10 days’ notice by email of any changes to the price you pay for your auto-renewing membership. You will be given the option to cancel your subscription if you no longer wish to continue your membership after the price change. 

If you elected to pay monthly, and have been a member for less than one year, any changes to pricing will be applied after you have made 12 payments at the price at which you joined.

No refunds will be offered for payments that have been collected after the price change, provided we have given you 10 days’ notice about the price change.

Cancelling, pausing or changing my membership

If you wish to change your membership subscription (e.g. to a different payment plan) it may be possible to do that by contacting club@dazedmedia.com. This will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

It is not possible to pause or freeze your membership during the first 12 months of your monthly paid membership or at any point of your annually paid membership.

If you wish to cancel your membership subscription, you can do this after you have completed at least 12 months’ worth of membership payments. Annually paid memberships can be cancelled at any time and your membership will expire at the end of the 12-month membership period you have already paid for. Monthly membership payments can only be cancelled after 12 months’ worth of membership payments have been successfully completed.

You have the legal right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of contract commencing. If you cancel your membership and have already booked tickets or received benefits, Dazed Club may require you to either return the tickets or pay full price for the benefits claimed for free with your membership.

We may cancel or suspend your membership immediately if you breach these terms. This includes, if we do not receive a payment from you when due.

Intellectual property

Our intellectual property

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our website and our digital and IRL content (including but not limited to newsletters and e-communications) or any other content delivered to you as part of your Dazed Club benefits, and in the material published within it (together, the “Dazed Club Content”).  Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved. By signing up to Dazed Club membership, you expressively agree that your use of all our digital and IRL content is for your own personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not use, reproduce or modify any Dazed Club Content unless you have our prior written authorisation. This does not apply if you are the creator or owner of this intellectual property. 

In particular, you are not allowed to reproduce, provide or transmit to any other website, newsgroup, mailing list or other storage device connected to a network, all or any part of the Dazed Club Content, or modify, public, transmit, participate in the transfer or sales of, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, or in any other way exploit all or any part of the Dazed Club Content.

Your intellectual property

When submitting your work to us, the artist (or other licensor, as applicable) remains the owner of the intellectual property and any enquiries in relation to such rights will be referred to the artist. So far as any rights in the works are owned by a third party that third party will remain the owner of such rights in and to the works.  Dazed Club will have the right to post your content and/or other work on our website, newsletters and social media channels in connection with the open call / submitted work, for general marketing or promotional purposes. 

Upon submitting work to Dazed Club you are confirming that the work is your own and you are the sole owner of the copyright for it for public usage. If any challenge to ownership subsequently arises from a third party, then the sole responsibility lies with the submitting member and not Dazed.  

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms of use, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
