A$AP Rocky performs in a cage on his first trip to Sweden after his arrest

The rapper returned to Stockholm, where he was arrested for assault in the summer, to play to an adoring crowd

A$AP Rocky made a triumphant return to Sweden last night, performing at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm just months after his arrest in the city. Rocky gave a passionate performance, which included he and his crew, dressed in jump suits, moshing inside a cage.

Rather than express his feelings about the series of events that he went through, the A$AP Mob leader simply told the crowd: “I didn’t bring you here together so we can talk about Swedish authorities, politics or American politics. I brought you here today for love and unity.”

Earlier in the day, Rocky also visited a school in Husby, a deprived area and was the site of riots in 2013. On Instagram he announced that anyone from the immigrant community, from the suburbs, or from the hood would be allowed to get into the show for free.

In July, the rapper was incarcerated on charges of assault, and after a trial he received a fine and suspended sentence. Nevertheless, he has been magnanimous about his time behind bars, designing new uniforms and requesting permission to perform for inmates at the prison where he was detained (sadly denied).

With that drama now behind him, Rocky certainly seemed to be having a hell of a time with his Swedish fans both on and off stage yesterday. Watch the show below.
